Operating model: you keep renter data in your own workflow. We don’t run a platform database.

This Privacy Notice explains what data Safe Standard® processes — and what it deliberately does not. Safe Standard® is documentation, not a platform, so we minimize personal data handling by design.

1 Privacy approach

Safe Standard® is documentation — not a platform. That means we intentionally minimize personal data handling.

In practice:

  • No user accounts
  • No customer dashboards
  • No behavioral tracking operated by us
  • No storage of your rental agreements, bookings, or renter data on safestandard.se
2 Data we do not collect on safestandard.se

We do not collect or store a customer database for Safe Standard® users.

  • No saved customer profiles
  • No booking history
  • No uploaded agreements or checklists
  • No “platform data” because there is no platform
3 Checkout & payments

Checkout is handled via Shopify. Payments are processed by Stripe. These providers act as independent data controllers/processors under their own terms.

Typical data processed by checkout providers:

  • Name
  • Email
  • Billing details
  • Payment information
  • Transaction metadata (e.g., payment status)

Safe Standard® is delivered as digital content after purchase. We do not store your payment card details.

4 Support email & operational communication

If you contact support, we process the information you provide to respond and provide operational assistance.

This may include:

  • Your email address
  • Order-related details (to verify purchase)
  • Basic context needed to answer your question (provided by you)

We do not sell or trade personal data. We use your information only for support and operational record-keeping.

Web App note: PDFs (including Custom Terms PDFs) are generated locally on your device. We do not receive or store your generated content via the Web App.

5 Cookies & tracking

safestandard.se is built to avoid tracking by design. If cookie banners appear, they typically relate to embedded services or third-party tooling (if enabled).

The only unavoidable tracking you may encounter is what third-party providers run on their own systems (for example Shopify checkout).

6 Data retention

We retain:

  • Transaction records as required by accounting/tax rules
  • Email correspondence as needed to provide support

We do not retain:

  • Your rental agreements, checklists, invoices, or generated PDFs (local-only generation)
  • Your renter personal data (because you keep those)
  • Ongoing “usage data” (because there is no platform)
7 Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (including GDPR in the EU/EEA), you may have rights to access, correct, or request deletion of personal data we process (primarily email/support-related data).
